I/O Detroit was started in 2018 by the Sheufelt brothers and several other collaborators. Over the years, the community around the studio has grown to reflect the mission at hand: Make good art and make it mean something. We work with professionals from all disciplines of media production.

Anyone can produce music and video from the comfort of their own home these days. So why seek out the help or spend the money? The answer is simple. Because it takes a village. All of your favorite artists, filmmakers, players, inventors, or creators in any format have one thing in common: They didn’t do it alone.

Our goal is to facilitate and direct your creative energy into a tangible form that you can take with you when you leave. We do this by providing a streamlined yet comfortable environment, and approaching each project individually, but with the same methodical and pragmatic attitude.
